Final Mini Project

Hello class, due to the extreme limitations from working at home, I am offering total creativity to you.

I would like you to create a brief Stop Motion video using the software of your choice, on either your phone, chromebook or home computer.

You do not have to create a particular puppet, you may use any found objects around the house. I have seen cool videos made with sticky notes, string, natural objects, toys, or a combination of things. Of course ou can also make a puppet, but that is not required,

Use any environment or setting that works for you. Use a desktop or tabletop, go outside, or create an environment using materials you can find.

Moving object

  • At least 1 moving object

Environment - Setting

  • You can use any setting in your environment

Camera Angles

  • Only 1 angle is required

Quarantine Project - Week 1

Welcome back everyone, I hope you are all doing well.
This month will be a new experience for us. We will have to do everything at home and that means we will have to be extra-creative!

Over the next 3 weeks we will use our phones or chromebooks to create an interesting short movie.

The first thing we need to do is find an app that will work.

You can use anything that will work but the links below have a lot of ideas for you.

https://techigem.com/stop-motion-apps/

https://freeappsforme.com/stop-motion-apps/

I recommend Imotion for Iphones and Stop Motion Studio for Android, but you can use whatever app works best for you.

Once you have found an app that will work for you create a practice movie.
It does not have to be very long, maybe 3-5 seconds.
All it has to show is motion. you can make a pencil roll across a desk, use your little sister's doll as a puppet and make her wave at the camera, just animate something you find interesting.

The main objective this week is basically to find an app that works, create a brief animation and then save and upload it to your blog.

I will make a google classroom page where we can all compare notes and ask questions, even help each other as we figure out the best ways to do this from home.

I am available from 9-2 everyday. I will set up a google hangout later this week to answer any questions you may have.

When you have finished, post your movie to your blog and tell us what app you have chosen.
Lets try to have your work posted on Tuesday April 14.

Next week we will make a more complete project.
